Amaroun will be on Maggie’s Stage at 1.30pm on Friday 20th July. Book tickets here.

Amaroun is the latest project from multi-talented producer and songwriter Jay Brown, existing at the sonic crossroads where Erykah Badu, Eels, PJ Harvey and Feist meet. Songs about coming out, moving up and not being kept down, Amaroun creates a truly unique form of kaleidoscopic pop music for the 21st century. Emerging from the same tight knit community as LA Salami and Francobollo, and with support from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, Chris Hawkins on BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and Radio X, 2018 is Amaroun’s for the taking.

Currently working with close collaborator and producer Kristofer Harris (Ghostpoet/Belle & Sebastian/Bear’s Den) as well as Charles Watson (Slow Club), Adam French and Carmody, she is the latest addition to the Communion Presents roster. She sold out her debut headline show at Archspace, London in March and was named ‘Gig of the Week’ in Music Week.
