James Campbell is a comedian, storyteller and children’s author. Over the past 19 years, he has visited over 2000 schools across the UK with his unique, inspiring, educational and amusing shows. His work has taken him to theatres and festivals around the world, including Broadway in New York, three West End runs, South Bank’s Imagine Festival and the Royal Albert Hall. He has hosted the Red House Children’s Book Awards for the last 7 years and has performed at the Hay Literary Festival for over 10 years. He performed his show James Campbell’s Comedy for Kids with Chris Riddell at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the Imagine festival.

He has performed his stand up for kids comedy shows at venues all across the UK and he will tour his new show James Campbell – The Funny Life Of… through 2018. His hugely successful Boyface series of books are published by Hodder. The Boyface play will be launched at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. He will have had three books published by Bloomsbury in 2017/8: a guide to creativity/writing for children and the first two in series of humorous illustrated books called The Funny Life of….Pets and The Funny Life of… Teachers.
