Philippa Perry is a psychotherapist, writer and broadcaster. She wrote Couch Fiction a graphic novel that demystified the therapeutic process and, How To Stay Sane which applies psychotherapeutic principles to self-help. She is Red Magazine’s agony aunt and also made a series of short films for the Guardian called What’s Troubling You. ¬†Philippa has presented television for BBC Artsnight as well as fronting various documentaries including Being Bipolar (channel4), The Truth About Children Who Lie (BBCRadio4) and Sex, Lies and Love Bites: The Agony Aunt Story (BBC4). She is currently working on a new book about parents and a TV documentary about Surrealism. She likes going to parties and watching telly. In 2016 she was a regional finalist for Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of The Year.
